We provide a better way to track your readers in the form of Statistics.
As a publisher on Issuu, you can find your statistics at https://issuu.com/home/statistics.
The statistics of your content give you a better insight into the visibility of your content on the Issuu platform such as - who is viewing your content, how your content is being viewed, how many people are engaged in your work etc. This information is gathered through data such as impressions, reads, read time, shares, and more.
The statistics dashboards are updated once a day around 08:00 am according to UTC time.
Under the Basic or Starter plan, you can only access statistics from the latest 30 days.
Higher-tier plans include access to statistical history that is older than a month. Under a higher-tier plan, you can:
- View your statistics by specific date range;
- View stats on individual documents, reads, views, impressions, and more.
Check your upgrade page to see the list of features.
NOTE: We don't track unique readers. So if a reader views your content multiple times, all their views are counted.
Basics
- Impressions are the number of times that your content was served or shown on the Issuu network, whether in someone’s feed (as a thumbnail), search results, or on a website where you have embedded the content.
- Reads are counted when someone opens your content and either performs an action (by flipping the page, zooming, etc.) or stays for more than two seconds.
- Read Time will be counted once the content has been loaded for two seconds (when considered a Read). The time is tracked in milliseconds i.e. why it is represented in the same format in the downloaded statistics files. But It is shown in hours: minutes: seconds format in the statistics dashboards on Issuu.
- Read Time for Articles: We have a limit of 10 minutes on article pages if the tab is active. So a user can leave the tab without interacting and we would wait until 10 minutes before we stop tracking the read time. But if they switch a tab then we immediately stop tracking the read time.
- Average Time Spent is Read Time divided by Reads.
- Clicks are the number of times link(s) has been clicked on within your content.
Different Content Types
At the top of your Statistics page, when you click on Show filters, you'll be able to see statistics for the different content types. We offer statistics for

By default, all are selected but you can deselect any type you're not interested in. The data will then be available below in totals and graphs for the time period and content type you've selected.
