Issuu offers full refunds for annual subscriptions if the request is made within 60 days of the invoice date.
For monthly subscriptions, refund requests are accepted within 20 days of the invoice date.
Please note that we do not provide pro-rated refunds for partially used subscription periods outside of this policy, nor can we reimburse any currency conversion fees related to your payment.
Additionally, if you’ve already disputed the charge with your bank or initiated a chargeback, we’re unable to process a refund for that transaction.
Issuu is a self-service subscription platform. It is ultimately the responsibility of each individual or organization to monitor their active subscriptions and cancel any that are no longer needed.
An Issuu subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle, and the payment method linked to your account will be charged accordingly. This is clearly communicated during the payment confirmation process when you add a service to your account.
To avoid future charges, please downgrade your account to our free Basic plan before your next renewal date.
NOTE: We send a renewal reminder email for all annual plans 30 days before the renewal charge. This reminder is sent to both your account’s primary email and billing email addresses.
If you began with a free trial, the subscription will automatically renew at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it expires.
Deleting your account with a paid plan
Deleting your Issuu account does not trigger an automatic refund.
If you'd like to receive a refund for your last payment, you must submit your refund request following the instructions outlined below before deleting your account.
Downgrading your plan / cancelling your paid subscription
Please refer to the instructions in Cancel your subscription to downgrade your account to our free Basic plan.
When you cancel a subscription, your account will remain on the paid plan until the end of the current billing cycle. On that date, it will be automatically downgraded to the free Basic plan.
If you'd prefer to terminate your subscription immediately and request a refund for your most recent charge, please follow the refund request steps outlined below.
How to receive a refund
To receive your refund, go to this link.
Before accessing the page, please ensure you're logged into the correct Issuu account—the one for which you’d like to receive a refund.
If your account falls within the timeframe of our refund policy, we’ll issue a credit note and automatically reverse the charge to your account. For more details on accessing your credit note, please see Retrieve past invoices and credit notes.
After following the steps outlined at our refund link, you’ll receive an email confirming that your refund has been successfully processed.
The refund is issued immediately, but due to standard banking processing times, the amount should appear in your account within 7–10 business days.
The refund will be sent to the payment method linked to your Issuu account.
If you notice a discrepancy between the amount paid and the amount refunded, it is most likely due to currency conversion fees applied by your payment provider. Since these are external fees, we’re unfortunately unable to reimburse them.
If you wish to re-upgrade your account to a different plan after receiving the refund, you can do so anytime via your Account settings.
