Here at Issuu, we strive for our users to effectively utilize our features worry free.  In order to do so, our paid plans automatically renew.  If you’d like to cancel your Issuu subscription or free trial auto-renewal, you may do so at any time in Account Settings. This article outlines how to easily cancel your subscription or free trial and downgrade it to be Basic (free) plan.

Next Recurring Payment Date

To see when your next recurring payment date is, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your issuu account, hover over your profile photo in the top right-hand corner and select ACCOUNT SETTINGS from the dropdown menu.
2. Under the BILLING tab, your next recurring payment date is listed near the bottom of the page.

Please note that your paid subscription must be cancelled before the next renewal date to avoid further charges.

Cancelling a Subscription

If you would like to cancel your subscription or your free trial, you must downgrade to our Basic (free) plan. To downgrade to Basic:

1. Log in to your Issuu account, hover over your profile photo in the top right-hand corner and select ACCOUNT SETTINGS from the dropdown menu.
2. Under the SERVICES AND PLANS tab, you can downgrade your subscription.
3. Select DOWNGRADE under the Basic plan description and then choose CONTINUE

3. Follow the prompts on the next few screens to complete the downgrade process. At the end of the process, you will be prompted a cancellation confirmation pop-up.

After you have successfully downgraded, the system will tell you the expiration date of your subscription, which is when you will be downgraded to Basic.  Your subscription and benefits will still be available to you until your expiration date.  

Please note that:

• When cancelling a subscription, no refunds are processed automatically. Your subscription will not change until the end of your current billing cycle: once your paid subscription expires, your account will be downgraded to Basic.
• You cannot cancel your paid plan if there is an outstanding balance or a failed/pending payment on your account 
• Even if your renewal payment failed and is in retry, the subscription is renewed, and the cancellation will take place at the end of the billing cycle. If you wish to immediately stop the payment attempts and cancel the renewal, you can let our support team know.
  
• Subscriptions can't be temporarily suspended and reactivated later on.

• After the subscription ends, your account will be downgraded, and some features or content access may be limited under the Basic plan.

What happens to my publications if I cancel subscription?

Your publications are still accessible online after your subscription expires. What will change will be the features that came with your subscription plan. 

Once your account is converted to free/basic plan :

• The features that came with your subscription plan, will not be available anymore.  
• If publications are embedded on your website, then embeds will be greyed out for readers and they will be sent to Issuu.com in order to read your publications. 
• Your previously created Shareable fullscreen reader links will redirect users to the regular Issuu document page.
