What are custom events and how are they recorded?
Custom events are recorded when some interaction with the embed happens (flip the page and click on the link)-
- Dashboard level: it takes up to 30 minutes to update the dashboard.
- Contact level data: it shows instantly the new record.

How long does it take to sync everything on HubSpot after connecting?
After doing the connect, it takes some time to sync everything on HubSpot, depending on the user's amount of documents. The order it makes the sync is:-
- Create Issuu Publications;
- Create Module;
- Create Theme;
- Create Custom Event.

What happens to Issuu data after disconnecting?
After disconnect, the Issuu data inside the customer account is kept. It is erased when:-
- One individual account is connected;
- One team account from another organization is connected.

Who can see documents in HubSpot?
Individual Issuu accounts will be able to see both Public and unlisted documents, while Teams users will only see Public documents in HubSpot.

What Issuu plans include the HubSpot integration?
HubSpot Integration will be available for Premium and above Issuu plans.

Who can use the tracking features with HubSpot?
Since we are using HubSpot's Custom/Behavioural events to accomplish our tracking use cases, our Integration will only be available for HubSpot Enterprise customers.

How do I update my account if there is a new app update?
If there is a new update in the app, just a reconnection should update your account. Inside the partners' tab, HubSpot → Disconnect → Connect.

Does the integration work in incognito mode?
Incognito tabs → In general, it does not work properly, since this mode blocks cookies from HubSpot, which is required for the tracking and some Issuu features such as links on publications. The use cases may work partially in some browsers, but not assured.

What if the user turns pages too quickly?
If the user turns pages too quickly, the browser may not correctly send all “Flipped Pages” events and the final number (average) may be affected.

Will a single-page publication generate custom events?
A publication with only one page won't have any custom events, even the "viewed", because there is no interaction (flips, clicks) with it.

Why are deleted documents still appearing on HubSpot?
Sometimes HubSpot displays documents that were deleted on the platform. It seems kind of a cache on their side.
And we have different behaviors for deleted documents:-
“This media was deleted in Issuu.”
The publication was deleted on Issuu and deleted in the HubSpot integration.

“Sorry, this publication is not available”
The publication was deleted on Issuu but the Hubspost integration is not updated.

Custom Events definitions
Total Views:
- Any interaction within the iframe, such as:
- Clicking on links.
- Flipping pages (by the arrow, keyboard, and the menu).
Avg. pages flipped:
- Total count of pages flipped going from front to back - Count of every page flipped.
- Total pages viewed/ number of users.
Avg. pages viewed (%):
- Formula - Total pages viewed/ number of users
- It tracks the final progress of the user. This means, for example, it does not matter if the user actually saw/read 9 pages, but that he flipped to the 9th page.
Total clicks on links:
- The total number of times links within the publication are clicked.
