Account Refunds and Unauthorized Charges



Unfortunately, we do not provide account refunds. All charges made to an issuu account are non-refundable in accordance with our "Terms of Service" agreement (section 3. Fees and Payment - points e. and g.).


With any paid issuu subscription, the subscription renews automatically at the end of your billing cycle, and the payment source on your account will be charged automatically. This is clearly stated whenever confirming payment after adding a service to your account. To prevent future charges, downgrade your account to our Basic (free) plan before your next recurring payment date.

Next Recurring Payment Date

To see when your next recurring payment date is:

  1. Log in to your issuu account, hover over your profile photo in the top right-hand corner and select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  2. Under the "Billing" tab, your next recurring payment date is listed near the bottom of the page.

Unauthorized Charges

If you believe you received an unauthorized charge from issuu, please explore the probable scenarios below before reporting the charge to us or to your bank. As issuu is a self-service platform, it is ultimately each individual's and each company's responsibility to keep track of all paid subscriptions and to cancel them, if no longer in use.


Current Employee Subscribed

A current employee subscribed to an issuu account using a company credit card without informing the company’s accounting department.


Former Employee Subscribed

A former employee still in possession of a company credit card subscribed to an issuu account without the company accounting department’s knowledge.


14-Day Free Trial Ended

A publisher did not cancel their 14-day free trial before it ended and the paid subscription began automatically as stated in the free trial details.


Multiple Accounts Created

A publisher created multiple accounts, one of which the publisher has forgotten was a paid plan.


Wrong Card Used

A publisher mistakenly used their personal credit card when setting up their issuu account, the cost of which should be covered by their organization.


Account Created on Behalf of Someone Else

An external PR firm or designer created an account for their client and either used their own or the client's credit card for the subscription. At renewal, the credit card holder may at first not recognize the charge.
