In this article, we want to show you how to get around the Issuu Android App so you can begin to discover new and amazing content. Here are the most frequently asked "How to's" about profile photos, searches, sharing, Stacks and more.
1. How do I add a profile photo to my account?
If you signed up by connecting one of your social accounts, your profile picture will be the profile picture associated to your social profile.
If you signed up by email address, you can log into your account on the Issuu website (www.issuu.com) and follow the steps in this article: How to Upload a Profile Photo. Your profile will be updated the next time you sign into the Android app.
2. How do I search for content?
Once logged into the Android App, there are two places where you can search for content. You can type in a keyword, the title, the name of the publisher or a category and then let our search engine do the work.
3. How do I share content?
If you love certain content and want to share it with friends, family, or coworkers, you can share the content directly from the app. You will see the share symbol on the bottom left hand corner of the content you are viewing.
When you click on the share button, you'll be brought to this screen where you can select how you want to share the content.
4. What else can I do with content once I have it open?
Download - You can read content offline by downloading it
Save - Allows you to save content in an organized way in "Stacks"
Like - See all of the content you like under one area
Report - See something inappropriate, report it and we'll take the necessary action
Create Clips - Want to share a photo, a recipe, or an article out of the content you're reading? You can create a clip of it and share it with friends via social, email or text message!
Go to Publisher - Want to see more content by the same publisher? Click on "Go to Publisher" and from here you can even follow them and be notified when they upload new content.
5. How do I create Stacks and add and remove content from them?
Do you want to start organizing all of the content you like by category? You can do that by creating a Stack in your app.
Click on the three buttons on the bottom right hand corner of your app.
You can create as many Stacks as you want. If you have Stacks created, choose the right Stack to add the content to.
You can have unlimited content under a Stack.
No longer want specific content under your Stack? You can remove it by clicking on the three buttons you see on the screenshot and click on "Remove Publication." You can also edit the name of the Stack here too.
