Issuu is partnering with Stripe, a leading online payments platform, so publishers can charge for their publications and collect credit and debit card payments from their readers.
NOTE: Issuu only supports countries supported by Stripe at this time. Click here to see a list of supported countries.
Connecting Your Issuu Account to Stripe
When you set up your first publications for sale, you need to connect an existing Stripe account or create a new one for free.
You will be notified to set up the payment on several occasions when preparing your publication for sale (see the screenshot above and below).
If you have a Stripe account already, enter the existing Stripe email.
If not, enter the email you’d like to use, and we’ll create an account for you.
NOTE: Before you can start accepting live payments, you need to confirm your Stripe email address. Stripe will send you a verification email, and all you need to do is to verify the set up by clicking 'Confirm email address' in the body of the email.
When a reader buys your magazines, the payment is posted directly in your Stripe account, which you can then transfer to your bank account manually or automatically. See the Stripe website for more information on payouts.
Stripe fees depend on geography and method of payment. For more info on Stripe’s fees, go to https://stripe.com/pricing, and make sure you are on the correct country version of the Stripe website (updatable in their footer).
Stripe fees are generally structured with a flat fee of 20-30 cents, plus a percentage for the sale, usually under 3%.
