This notice is to inform you of changes to Issuu’s free Basic plan, effective May 29, 2025:

Free Basic users are now limited to 5 published documents, with each document restricted to a maximum of 50MB in size and 10 pages.

\n

 

\n

As of May 29, 2025, this limitation is being enforced across all Basic accounts. If your account exceeds the 5-document limit, any additional documents will remain hosted on Issuu but will be inaccessible to readers.

To regain full access to all your content and benefit from higher publishing limits, you may choose to upgrade to a paid plan.

I have over 5 documents published on my account. What happens to them if I don’t upgrade to a paid plan?

\n

If you do not upgrade to a paid plan, only the 5 most recently published documents will remain accessible to readers.

\n

All other publications will continue to be hosted on Issuu, but they are no longer available for public viewing. You will still be able to access these documents from your account, but they will not be visible to readers unless you upgrade to a paid plan.

As the publisher, can I download the publications that are no longer accessible but still hosted on Issuu?

\n

Yes — as long as you are logged into your account, you can still download your publications, even if they are no longer accessible to readers.

\n

I want to stay on the free Basic plan and would like to select the 5 documents that will stay accessible. How do I do this?

\n

Unfortunately, it is not possible to manually select which publications remain accessible on the free Basic plan. Only the five most recently published documents will be available to readers.

\n

If you'd like specific documents to stay accessible, you can delete any publications published after them, so the ones you wish to keep appear among the most recent five.

\n

If I don’t upgrade to a paid plan, how will my readers see the documents affected by the limit?

\n

Readers will see a pop-up message stating: “Publication access is currently limited.”
If your account exceeds the 5-document limit on the Basic plan, any additional publications will no longer be viewable beyond the cover page.
